Tenth House

The 10th house shows our attitude toward and desire for a career. It can give an indication of the type of career that would fit our personality. It is also the most obvious house to the general public as it is the most elevated house in the chart. It is how you are viewed in a public setting. The degree of comfort we feel while projecting authority and our attitude toward authority figures.

This house concerns one's public and professional reputation. It can give us an idea of whether (or not) we are able to rise above the social and economic status we were born to (shown by the 4th house). It shows how ambitious we are and how that ambition is revealed. The kinds of employers we have and our relationships with them are also a part of this house.

Because of it's elevation in a chart, the 10th house is subject to more public scrutiny than the others. What we do here will be seen by all, and our choices will lead to either greater status within society or public downfall.
