Third House

The 3rd house represents all forms of communication; written, verbal and non-verbal. It also shows whether or not we are practical in our thinking.

This house can also give an indication of the environment of our compulsory education. For example, Saturn placed in this house can show that we have a hard time in school, or at least that we get off to a slow start. It does not mean that we do not do well in school, it just gives us the sense that we're not totally comfortable in that environment.

Siblings are another thing represented by the third house. Big family, small family? Do you talk a lot to your siblings or hardly at all? Your neighborhood is also here, whether you make friends with the neighbors or tend to stick mostly to yourself.

Short trips and the vehicle you use to make them are here. Do you drive fast or are you cautious? Sports car or sedan? Are you always running all over town, or traveling by car in your work? Those things can show up here.

This house can also indicate talents you have that you take for granted.
