CAPRICORN: The Seagoat

Capricorn marks the beginning of winter and begins on the shortest day of the year. Ruled by Saturn, Capricorn has been described as stoic, hard working and disciplined. It's natural home is the 10th house.

This is one of the most stable and responsible signs of the zodiac. Capricorn strives toward a goal and is not afraid of hard work. They are determined and can be single minded in their pursuits. They have a respect for authority, are organized and excellent multi-taskers. Honesty and integrity are important components of the Capricorn makeup.

Unfortunately this sign has earned a reputation for being a bit of a stick in the mud. Because of the reserved demeanor of this sign adjectives like boring, tedious, dull, serious, or unemotional are used to describe it. While this can sometimes be true, it is important to remember that those with this sign are just as likely to possess a wicked sense of humor, clever intellect and a sudden tendency toward impulsive behavior.

Generally speaking Capricorn is the foundation that all is built on. They are tireless workers and are willing to work for what they want. Patience is another key attribute and they are just as willing to wait for all their hard work to come to fruition. They are self-sacrificing when it comes to their families and friends.

Emotionally, Capricorn tends to be a bit hard on themselves. They can become difficult when others to not live up to their strict standards, and may feel let down. They are generally fair when dealing with others, but can be exacting in their demands. Guilt is the favorite weapon in their arsenal and they wield it against themselves as readily as others.
