![]() The mathematical angles between the planets are called "aspects" and show how the planets interact with each other, or to put it another way, how the actors talk to each other. You can learn more about how that happens in the Aspects portion of our site. As we stated before, the purpose of Astrology is not to blame the planets for what happens to us, but rather to understand how the placement of the planets affect us. With this information we can get a clearer picture of who we are and how we fit into the universe. Each planet tells us something different about ourselves and how we interact with the outside world. All of the planets are important, not just the Sun. Modern horoscopes preclude any use of the other planets and as such only give us the most basic picture of what is going on in the chart. It's like saying that all blondes are going to have a good day for money matters today. You can see how ridiculous that would be. Each Planet rules one Sign, with the exceptions of Mercury and Venus. Both of those rule two signs. A Planet that falls in a sign it rules is very comfortable operating there. There are also Signs that each Planet is not comfortable with. The same holds true with the houses. For a basic look at what each of the planets does in the chart please use the menu on the left. If you would like more in depth information on any of these planets you can visit our Learning Center.
