TAURUS: The Bull

Taurus naturally falls in the second house and is ruled by the planet Venus. It has a great appreciate for beauty and the tactile senses can be highly evolved. Taurus loves the look and feel of rich textures.

This sign is very determined and purposeful in it's pursuits. Often they will focus their attention on acquiring money, but that is only so that they may indulge themselves in the creature comforts of life. Because beauty is so important to them they often have a wonderful sense of style and fashion. They love to surround themselves with beautiful things, and that includes people as well.

Taurus can become very stubborn and difficult if they feel that their security is threatened. They will cling tenaciously to the tried and true and can be extremely resistant to change. It can also take a very long time for them to get moving, but once in motion they can literally be an unstoppable force.

They are very loyal and devoted in their commitments to others, and as a result they can become jealous and quite possessive. Because of their dedication they can also stay in an unhealthy relationship or outgrown friendship longer than most of the other signs. They never want to give up on something they have committed themselves to.

Emotionally Taurus likes to be on an even keel. Sudden surprises and traumatic events tend to paralyze them and they become distraught not knowing how to proceed. It takes Taurus time to evaluate a situation and come up with a plan.
