The initial thought about Venus is Goddess of Love. While love is a major part of what Venus is about there is so much more than that!

Venus is an indication about how we express emotions, the kind of people we are attracted to and our attitudes toward money and possessions. Venus rules the principals of love and how we respond and react to others. Venus also represents beauty and harmony. Its placement can show how we reach out to others. Whether we are deeply committed and affectionate or if we tend to be a bit stand-offish and non-demonstrative. Venus is also the planet that shows the ways that we value creativity and personal comforts, our desire to be pampered and appreciated and our needs for harmony and balance. Venus is also an indicator of our ability to commit, whether it be to a person, a cause, or a thing.
